VOTING PRO-LIFE

Select capable men from all the people-men who fear God, trustworthy men who hate dishonest gain.” Exo 18:21 “I call heaven and earth as witnesses today against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing; therefore choose life, that both you and your descendants may live” Deu 30:19

• WORSHIP and THANKSGIVING

Worship the Lord, who makes justice the measuring line and righteousness the plumb

line for all life and godliness. (Isa 28:17; 2 Pet 1:3) • Thank God for the freedoms we have been given in this nation, especially for the

privilege to vote (Gal 5:1; Exo 18:21) • Praise God for the role He has called to church to play as salt and light in every area

of society and governance (Jer 1:10; Gen 1:28; Matt 16:18; Deu 30:19)

REPENTANCE

• Repent personally and on behalf of the American church for not properly stewarding our spiritual responsibility and civic duty to vote (Jer 1:10; Mat 22:20-21; Est 4:14)

• Repent personally and on behalf of the Church for voting for pro-abortion candidates because of their party affiliation or personal benefit rather than voting based on BIblical values (Pro 29:2; Phil 4:8)

• Repent for not functioning as the governmental assembly of God’s Kingdom, and thereby leaving the door open for the world to set the standard for life and culture (1 Pe 4:17; Gen 1:28; Jer 1:10; Matt 16:18; Eph 5:14-17)

PETITION/DECLARATION

• Ask God to convict Christians of their responsibility to be involved in the life of the nation both politically and socially (Matt 5:13-16; Jer 1:10; Mat 2:21)

• Ask God to inspire Christians to want to be involved in the direction of the nation; partnering with God to establish righteousness and execute justice for the unborn (Deu 10:18; Psa 72:1-4; Gal 5:1)

• Ask God to burden church leaders to equip the body to be effective agents of change in government and politics, preaching on the importance of Christian involvement in the election and the Bible’s teaching on moral issues, especially the sanctity of human life, marriage, and family (Jer 3:15; 20:9; Acts 4:31; 1 Pe 4:17; Deu 30:15)

• Ask God to compel them to take the time to register to vote, educate themselves, earnestly pray for wisdom and direction on the candidates and issues, share with others, and turn out to vote in righteousness. (Exo 18:21; Phil 1:27)

• Pray that a burden for prayer and intercession will come upon God’s people as the elections approach and abortion legislation comes to the forefront. (Zec 12:10; Jer 33:3; 1 Ti 2:1-8)

• Call forth a church that will no longer sit in apathy and complacency, but who will have the loudest voice in this nation through their vote (John 1:23; 2 Ch 5:14; Rev 19:6)
