From Back to Life –

Prayer Guide for Day 19 – Wednesday, April 4

ADOPTION: AN ANSWER TO ABORTION

“Pure and genuine religion in the sight of God the Father means caring for orphans and widows in their distress and refusing to let the world corrupt you.“you have received a spirit of adoption as sons by which we cry out, “Abba! Father!” – James 1:27; Rom 8:15b

• Worship the Lord, the father to the fatherless, who adopted us as His own children • Repent for our lack of response to God’s call to care for orphans • Pray for a release of the Spirit of Adoption, awakening the Church to her responsibility

to pure and undefiled religion: the care of widows and orphans. • Pray for a tidal wave of new adoptions so sweeping that abortion is no longer in

demand in America.

REPENT personally and on behalf of our nation for…

• Pray for a release of the Spirit of Adoption resulting in a wave of new adoptions for the multitude of orphaned children in America and for those that are yet to be born. (Gal 4:6-7; Rom 8:15-17; Mal 4:6)

• Call forth the Church in America to take responsibility for every unwanted child, resulting in the mobilization of a massive adoption movement so sweeping that abortion is no longer in demand. (Gen 18:19; Deu 11:19; Eze 36:36)

• Pray that love and compassion would transcend all else and compel us to embrace these unwanted children, care for them, protect them, and help bring them to a personal knowledge of Abbaʼs beautiful heart. (James 1:27; Pro 22:6; James 1:5; Gal 4:6; Rom 8:15-17; Gen 18:19; Isa 54:13)
